"Creating art has allowed me to express the many phases of my life. Personal perceptions gained through teaching, travel, literature, music and life experiences can be seen in my productions throughout the years. One experience, put aside for years but by no means forgotten, was that of being a bomber pilot in World War II. Somewhat recently, a fascination with airplanes has been rekindled and the grace, color and excitement of flying machines has provided me a new watercolor challenge. My paintings of WW I, WW II and jet planes are precisely accurate renditions. Emerging from a background of fine art, they are a most painterly vision of airplanes in action very similar in feel to my previous artwork."
